I have been asked if I use my bike a lot...to be honest, no 🙈 Occasionally to explore the surroundings or to go in the supermarket. The idea was to park the Pajero somewhere and go on tours of 1-2 or even 3 weeks, but so far I haven’t found a place that inspires me to do that...maybe in more remote, less populated areas where there are no prohibitions on access or wild camping.

…🎵Hey heart, on the road again. Moving on. Forward. See the stars, won’t break the bones. They’re in the car. On the highway. It’s so magical, feeling, that no one’s got a hold …🎵

Along the border between Poland and Belarus lies an ancient virgin forest. This is last fragment of the one that covered central Europe. Here are found lynx, wolves and the largest population of European bison, now extinct elsewhere.

Waking up at 4.30 a.m. and seeing it appearing at the horizon. The birds were already buzzing. Everything was shrouded in a veil of tulle. I felt in a painting. Too bad the deer didn't show up this morning.

Last night in the Czech republic and last rays of sunshine ... the sun ... we saw it very little. I’m in a part of Slovakia which looks wonderful (in picture): I’m in a thick fog and pouring rain and it will be like this for days to come ... in this case I’m happy not to be on my bicycle 😅

The Czech Republic chapter has come to an end and it is time to move on.

I never plan my trips too much. I prefer to seek out or ask locals for information on a day-to-day basis. I certainly miss out many tourist attractions in this way (even deliberately) but experiencing the wonder of finding myself by chance in enchanting places makes my wanderings more adventurous and full of surprises. Too bad the weather and light conditions were not on my side, but here it is, what suddenly was in front of me 💫

Traveling with cats. No, it is not always obvious, especially with Cecilia who is full of trauma (more in my blog “about Cecilia”).

Enchanted forests. Magnificent palaces. Imposing castles. Green. Lots of green. I was looking for some peace and nature. Czech republic has a lot of it.

I generally prefer wild-camping, but many areas are protected and free camping is prohibited in Czech Republic. I abide by the rules. I really don't like campsites: artificial, noisy, too built up... but in the Czech Republic I have found really wonderful campsites, simple, with the bare minimum and lots of nature. Thumbs up for Czech campsites.

✨New blog post✨ The second part of my wandering around in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Some of you have asked me what work I have done inside of the Pajero.

96 days. 6’497 km (4’037 miles). Only one plan: no plans. Just one ‘rule’: no motorways. Zero mechanical issues. Started with one cat, ended with two.

I love these landscapes but winter doesn’t allow me to travel as I would like. I like adventure but since I’m traveling alone I’m quite cautious: getting stuck somewhere because of the snow isn’t in my plans; staying in the cities neither. I’m taking a break. I’ll continue my adventure again when the weather conditions will permit it. For now I just breaaaathe 🎵🎵

I reached Bulgaria and the snow also arrived. I love the snowy landscapes, the fresh and clean air … just getting out of the sleeping bag in the morning is not very easy …

I spent more than a month in Serbia. The rain, humidity and cold did not make things easy. Meeting people I met on my bicycle trip, getting to know friends of friends and getting in touch with hospitable, big-hearted locals gave me a lot of energy. Thanks Serbia I think I will see you again in a milder season.
