The 14-month bicycle journey has left an important mark inside me. I was certain that one day I would set off again on a long (very long) journey. I admit that I was a bit scared to start cycling again for long time. Maybe it was because I had been a bit comfortable for more than 4 years. In addition, travelling by bicycle with a cat requires a certain flexibility that I was not sure I still had.
I started looking for vans, but soon I realised that travelling in this way was a bit limiting. I loved travelling by bicycle because it allowed me to reach incredible remote places. A van or minivan would have somehow limited this freedom … but an off-road vehicle would have allowed me to go further, to places that were difficult to reach. That is why my choice fell on overlanding around … of course, I took my bicycle and cats with me.
